Go to "Analog in" channel setup and select channel for analog output and select Setup. Click the "Edit" button and change the Mode to Channel Summation. With the checkboxes, you can choose the analog in channels which will be output. If more than one channel is used, Sirius will SUM the channels together. If Mode "Direct" is selected then the first analog channel will be output.

After everything is set up, go to channel setup, right click on the top of the "Ampl. name" and choose the "Set power on default option".

Unplug the Sirius slice from USB and power supply. When the Sirius is connected back to power supply, it will start outputting the signal out of the analog output.

The sampling rate with which the Sirius will sample data is set by the Dynamic acquisition rate (right to device preview in the image below). Sample rate in 4th column (table in the image below) is software sample rate, meaning that DewesoftX will display data with this sample rate. Signal conditioning sample rate is the same as Dynamic acquisition rate.

Example of setting sample rate (4th column) in DewesoftX. In the image below we can see signal conditioning on channel AI 3: summation of channels AI 1 and AI 2.

Signal conditioning: AI 1, AI 2 and AI 3:

When changing the sample rate to 400 Hz for AI 1 the signal conditioning channel AI 3 does not change.

Signal AI 3 did not change when changing Sample rate in 4th column, signal AI 1 has no value, because of the low sample rate on AI 1.

Setting Hardware filter

We can set hardware filter with tab next to General. Low-pass filter can be set from 30 Hz to 40 kHz. Filter prototype options are Butterworth or Bessel (2nd, 4th, 6th or 8th order).

Signal conditioning with sample rate divider

Sample rate dividing is by default performed directly on the device. Option to disable hardware sample rate dividing on the device causes the device to transfer data with full bandwidth (e. g. 200 kHz) over the USB cable. Signal conditioning is therefore transmitted to DewesoftX with full bandwidth. With two devices with different sampling rate (e. g. 200 kHz and 50 kHz) the DewesoftX software then takes care of the sample rate dividing. The maximum sample rate is the highest possible sample rate that is common to all connected devices (50 MHz for devices with 200 MHz and 50 MHz).

Important

Please note that signal conditioning does not support non linear sensors such as  resistance or RTD measurements.
